The news reporters ask the board members questions in regarding to their selection of the new president of Gallaudet University, Dr. Elisabeth Zinser. Frank Sullivan, a deaf board member, says that he knew that the Gallaudet students would be upset over the appointment of a new president, Dr. Zinser, but he never thought that it would be this escalated. Dr. Zinser mentioned she knew that there would be challenges in taking up the position as a president as she accepted the job, and Jane Spilman explained the reasons why Dr. Zinser would make a great president.
